Chris Bryant is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for the Rhondda since 2001 and was Minister for Europe and Deputy Leader of the Commons under the last Labour Government. He was one of two leading MPs who fought to expose the phone hacking scandal at Rupert Murdoch’s News International and has penned several successful books, most recently on the history of Parliament. Chris was one of the first openly gay Members of Parliament, and has been an outspoken advocate for LGBT rights since his election.
